Hi, guys! Thank you for your interest in The Cradle Project! This here is an interest check, with a break down of what you could expect from The Cradle Project. Please note this is not a reserve. It's not a commitment. It's merely us attempting to get an idea of how large of a cast to expect. This will help us run the game smoothly, by adjusting the roles as necessary. Even if you've expressed interest to Coco or Xander personally, we'd appreciate it if you commented here just for good measure, and to give others an idea of what to expect! We currently are planning a hard cap of 35 characters, but this is subject to change. We are also planning a hard cap of 3 characters per canon.
The Cradle Project is a short term, invite only sci-fi murder mystery game heavily inspired by Alien, SOMA, Blade Runner and many more. Despite being invite only, people who are friends with Coco or Xander are free to invite one to two friends to the game. If you've ever played a game of Mafia, it's mechanics are inspired by that, but we're adjusting some things to fit into the setting. The game's pace will change depending on the size of it, but presently, we are expecting a week to consist of four ooc days of 'downtime' where CR is able to be cultivated, one ooc day of investigation after a murder has taken place, and two ooc days for a trial for the respective case. The pace will be a 1:1 ratio so each case will last a week oocly and icly. Presently, we plan to open the game mid to late May, but this is subject to change.
Story wise, much of the plot has been mapped out and will be shaped by the players and their characters' choices. We plan to touch on themes of isolation, displacement, humanity, human existence, and connection. Here is a brief sneak peek at the story. In short, characters will wake up on a seemingly abandoned spacecraft and will be thrust forcibly into a game of death. We don't want to spoil any specifics, so please bear with us!
As for character choices to ponder, we believe that characters that have a grasp on the human condition will work best in The Cradle Project. Characters that are naturally immortal, are robotic, are not human or comparable to human (like elves, anthropomorphic and sentient animal people, humanoid alien races) will probably not work; likewise, it may be interesting to try characters who were formerly human or believe they know what it is like to be a human, such as an AI.
Please note that you don't need to be familiar with any of the canons that inspired the setting for The Cradle Project. Don't worry!

Likelihood: If you're able to, please give us an idea of how likely you are to apply. This will help us with planning on an overall scale.
Concerns?: Is there anything you'd like to bring to our attention? Questions without answers on the faq? Anything at all? Anything? Bueller?
Modding?: Currently, Coco and Xander are the only two mods, but we would be glad to have one or two more on call! We mostly would need this for consulting, as this is our first murdergame that we are modding, as well as having someone around in case either of us are unable to do something!
