Dying might feel a little bit more like falling asleep, but this is harder, more painful. If you've ever been electrocuted, the feeling might seem familiar; the discovery you make when you open your eyes, too, is likely very familiar. It's the night sky. Stars twinkle, a fire cracks warmly. You sit up and observe the surrounding area, and it's like you've woken up in some sort of canyon. The fire burns brightly, the moon shines beautifully, the crickets sing, and it is ... peaceful. Mostly. You know you're dead. This must be, then, the after life? Or something like it, at least. The horizon stretches on forever, the dirt and gravel seemingly endless. The moon is so big and bright, it's like you could reach out and touch her. There's a shed not too far from the fire, only but a stone's throw away, as if someone else might have made it, and then went inside it. Approaching it, you can see the light glowing inside it through the dusty windows that are littered with fingerprints. A computer screen, so large and wide that it's baffling, sits, waiting. Turning knob reveals that the shed is unlocked, and stepping inside... it doesn't feel any different from the outside. A chair sits in the center of the room, a strange contraption strapped to the head of it. It looks like it would lower itself upon the head of whoever dares to sit on it, and wires from it's bottom curl up towards the machines attached to the screen. Several smaller desktop screens sit beneath the giant monitor. They, too, are hooked up to the machines scattered around the room, to the ominous one perched on top of the medical chair, and they blink, as if fighting to stay alive without use. Pressing the giant monitor on, it lights up, and displays, strangely enough... a security camera feed. You push the button. It switches to another room. Again, another room. Again, another room. So on and forth. You peeping tom! But no one can blame you, in the end. You might as well digitally haunt the rest of the ship until the game ends, and AL-2955 can clean out the trash bin. ...Right? rule book taken characters information cards |

I don't know, but it's getting closer. [ A glance to Shelley, Arumat. ] Stay alert.

Hi guys, it's a bee, much bigger than anyone would have thought it'd be. It comes closer, staring at the group of invaders and Shelley. It doesn't look...aggressive...but it's certainly a dangerous situation. If it gets angry, chances are someone will get hurt]
...g-guys? I think...we should go away slowly...and get out of here.
[That was Shelley. She's already starting to back off to the other side of the tent, there's a way out through there, leading to a nearby park. Be careful, everyone]

The Eldarian is not sure how exactly to approach the situation other than follow the route Shelley gave (his instincts scream at him to leap into battle but for everyone's sake he tries to reign in the hotbloodedness at least for one hot second). So, he moves carefully towards where she's going but he's prepared to send off a spell or bring out his scythe in a moment's notice if necessary. }
...A common sight around these parts, Shelley?
no subject
How could this be a common sight anywhere without people just being turned to honeycombs!? Why is it that big? Why is this your life!?
[afterlife, whatever]

[Shelley looks like she's trying her hardest to not to be hysterical.
Although the group reached the park, the bee continued staring at them attentively. Once they were far enough the bee flew to the jam tent, landing on it and making the poles fall down, the tent is ruined. Yeah, that's one huge heavy insect.
Unfortunately, not only the group has a lot of bright colors, they also smell sweet. It's the jam, and since Shelley still has some jars of that, and Machias still has his, the bee is focusing on them the most.
Suddenly, it bolts from the destroyed tent towards the group! That thing moves surprisingly fast! And it isn't a friendly move, judging by how the stinger is what's facing you. It's official, we're all being attacked by a giant bee.
Welcome to Tackleford]

It's coming towards us--!
[ Machias, of course, screams at the top of his lungs and is likely the brightest out of all of them with the blatantly red blazer he's wearing. Fuck this jar of jam he's holding, he's throwing it RIGHT AT THE BEE, grabbing Shelley, and GETTING THEM THE HELL OUT OF THE WAY. Totty and Arumat can just deal, apparently. ]
THIS IS NOT WHAT I SIGNED UP FOR!

{ ... Next time Arumat's going to get everyone to dress in dark purples, like him. He'll swear underneath his breath, and whip out his scythe. He's calculating quickly if all of them just skaddadled the thing would catch up easy with most of them (Arumat's pretty damn fast himself but not everyone in the group is).
The Eldarian will make an attempt at hitting at it by swinging his scythe at it. If only because he's not going to stand there and do nothing either. He doesn't want Shelley or Machias to get hurt-- Todomatsu included but it seemed to focus on the other two in particular. }

Summoned? Why are there bee assassins!? What is wrong with this place, what happened to everything being under control!?
1/2
Shelley hears Arumat idly wondering where the bee came from. How is he keeping his cool? She wishes she could do the same]
I-I think it was in the animal exhibition! Does it really matter?!
[At least Machias has dragged her away. Soon Totty joins them away, not too far away from where Arumat and the bee are. Boy does Shelley regret moving away from the throne and taking off her omniscience crown]
Totty! Machias! Calm down already! Bees aren't known for being tough, right? Right?!
[Looks like the severe deviation from the illusion of control the cradle was meant to have is starting to wake Shelley up, so to say, although she doesn't realize it]
2/2
The bee's attention is divided and it seems to not to know for who to go for: the person attacking it or the three panicked people not too far away. It seems to have taken a quick decision.
The insect flies high for a moment, gaining speed by flying high above the park, before descending back as fast as it can. It doesn't seem to be aiming at Arumat, though. Instead it was aiming at one of the many trees in the park, pretty close to where Machias, Totty and Shelley are. The impact is enough to crack the trunk, the tree starting to topple down where the three are, and possibly bringing down other smaller trees down with it.
The impact did leave the bee a bit groggy, and it flies erraticaly towards Arumat again with the intention to once again try to skewer him with the stinger]

Piss off-- EXPLOSION!
{ He's sure Machias can help with the others probably, or the other three can move out of the way of the trees.
The spell would be a direct fiery explosion heading straight towards the bee--Arumat's aiming to not only throw the bee off its course but to try to put it to rest. Permanently. }

[ Let's just quickly get Shelley and Totty out of the way of the INCOMING TREE tumbling down while we're at it. Arumat looks like he's got things under control. Probably. ]
Is it always this chaotic around here?!
no subject
Yeah, 'cause unless you've got a strange sense of perfection, this doesn't seem to fit the bill!
no subject
...well, maybe we should all step aside and not walk into bee guts.
Shelley paces away]
It's mostly peaceful, but then from time to time something happens and--I don't know! Things like these weren't supposed to happen anymore!
[She turns around]
Things only went wrong when you three showed up! What's happening here?! What's going on?!
[Well, she may have remembered your names, but she doesn't remember exactly what's going on. It may be a good time to start explaining]
